There’s so much to see in the Florida Keys that it kind of depends on what you’re looking for! If you want a little bit of everything, we recommend trying an audio tour of the Florida Keys or any other Florida Keys tour you might find. Otherwise, you can tailor your experience to the kinds of sights you’d like to see.
If you’re looking for somewhere to relax and kick back, then there’s nowhere better than the Florida Keys. The Keys have some of the most beautiful and relaxing beaches globally, with soft sand, gorgeous sunsets, and warm tropical water. For the best beaches in the Keys, we recommend checking out Anne’s Beach in Islamorada or Sandspur Beach and Loggerhead Beach in the Bahia Honda State Park. Looking for a beach that’s a little more off the beaten path? Try Geiger Beach on Boca Chica Key, formerly the area’s only nudist beach, but today a quiet spot full of bizarre relics.
Are you looking for some aquatic fun? The Florida Keys have some of the best snorkeling and diving spots globally, including Key Largo’s John Pennekamp State Park, which is known for its sea life. If you’re more interested in catching sea life than just seeing it, Islamorada and Long Key are commonly referred to as the “sportfishing capitals of the world.” They are home to marlins, swordfish, mahi-mahi, and more.
You can also spend an entire vacation just taking in the local culture of the Keys. The people of the Conch Republic have developed a unique culture on the islands and are usually happy to share it with visitors. For fun cultural spots, check out Fred the Tree on the Seven Mile Bridge, Big Betsy in Rain Barrel Village, and pretty much the entirety of Key West.
