Absolutely awesome, used it in The petrified forest and grand Canyon, and it was just spot on with all the Knowledge and the GPS location. We Will use this in both California and Nevada as well, and will recommend it to others.
I stumbled onto this tour on the internet and I am so glad I did! My daughter, grandson and I are visiting Nags Head NC for the weekend for the first time. This tour was easy and fun and had something for each of us! We even brought the dog along and he was able to visit all of the outdoor points. We were able to do this at our leisure and learned so much about the Outer Banks. And we got to see lighthouses up close!!
We loved the excellent history narrative that popped up as we drove through Joshua Tree National Park! It gave us an excellent overview in order to select hikes that were most interesting to us. I particularly enjoyed that it used GPS in order to make sure that we heard information applicable to where we were in the park. There were several points where we had to drive out and back and it would play there information again in reverse and the audio clips were amusing to hear in the wrong order.
We were on Maui for 2 days on a cruise. We rented a car from the Enterprise that was a short walk from the Pier for both days. The first day we did a snorkel trip to the crater, which was amazing! The 2nd day we did our own "Road to Hana" trip, knowing that we only had about 5-6 hours vs the Tours 8-10 hours. I could see where the tours stopped and read reviews on what the popular stops were so we could do it on our own at our own pace. Having the audio Tour worked PERFECTLY! It was linked to our location, so it would tell stories along the way and tell us about up coming stops. We were so glad we uploaded the app etc.! The tours were SO EXPENSIVE and we had 5 people, so saved $1,400 by doing it on our own. Highly recommend! (note - if you rent a car for more than a day you need to park it overnight at the airport and uber or taxi back to the ship - cost about $20 for parking, $15 uber, $20 taxi - but well worth the savings we had by driving our selves to the snorkel tour and road to Hana!!)
My husband and I truly enjoyed our visit tour we learned so much important historical information about the area and course about Grand Canyon. Self driving tour is the BEST way to visit. It was very cold some snow on ground we live here in Florida being able to take your time replay audio stopping to take pictures along the way. From reviews we read pack your own lunch and water we did such a big help stopping along the way we had lunch . The best tour ever the pictures we took are breath taking still talking about how much fun we had . Thinking about another visit soon . Please book it start the Audio at Guest Service is your best place to follow along and please download the app before you get there make things a whole lot easier and just follow along . You will not regret taking the tour . Enjoy have fun.
This was a well spent $17. Made the experience of self driving as good as a tour, and even better as we could go at our own pace. There is a portion of the tour that includes getting on a shuttle, but we did not have to, I think because it was December and not as crowded. No need to stop at the visitor center before the park, that is just the place to start the recording.
If you are planning on driving the Road to Hana, buy this today!!! This audio guide shared so many interesting facts about the island and its culture. The audio tour made the drive so much more enjoyable than it would have been without it. So easy to use. Highly recommend.
Completely worth the small amount of money you pay for your own comfortable private tour. Super easy to follow along, insanely informative, it is more than you’d expect. I would recommend this service to ANYONE wanting to visit somewhere new. It’s like a $150 tour in a crowded bus without the crowd, crappy bus seats, or the huge financial investment. I will be using this app for future trips, without a doubt
This app was such a big help. I love that it gives you different tours of acadia to map out. The history of the park at all the critical points of the park was so interesting and helpful. Just make sure you get set up before you go into the park. If not, you won’t be able to pull the app up because you lose service. It was definitely worth every penny.
Bought both the Cape Cod MA and the Newport RI self-guided tour. They were so informative and easy to follow. We were able to stop where we wanted along the way and then pick up where we left off when we were back on the route. I would definitely recommend either of these tours over a bus tour with a group.
We purchased the self-guided tour app for Joshua Tree National Park for $15 and it was well worth the price. We selected the entrance we were arriving at, and the app did the rest. It tracked where we were and gave us relevant historical and geological information for each spot as we traveled in the park. It made our visit much more enjoyable than simply driving through the park totally on our own. We didn’t do any long hikes but the app would have allowed us to if we wanted that. It paused for us when we stopped to walk around for better views and started again when we continued the drive. This is a unique Park, different from any we have visited before, with its showy rock formations and its special trees.
Downloaded the app in which a man guides you thru all of the Gettysburg history while you are in your car. It’s perfect and wonderful! Highly recommend!!
So when you travel to LA most people will hire a car to get around as public transport is not great due to the vast distance that you have to travel. We wanted to do the celebrity house tour when visiting this summer and most people do the bus tour which will cost around £50pp. Parking in Hollywood for the day would have cost £15 the pennies definitely stack up especially if you want to do this as a family. We came across @actiontourguide which we would definitely recommend all you need is the app. You can do the celebrity tour of over 40 houses in the comfort of your own hired car and stop and start as you please! We saw houses of Kylie Jenner, Leonardo Di Caprio, and Ariana Grande amongst others.
Loved the story telling about the history of Hawaii along the journey. The one lane bridges were exciting! I’d definitely use this app again to learn more about the road to Hana. I didn’t pay close enough attention and missed a couple falls as there was no parking available at the time we went. There was plenty more to see.. I was NOT disappointed! !
