About the Tour
This tour begins at the iconic Hallgrimskirkja Church, Reykjavik’s most recognizable landmark. Here, you’ll learn about the church’s construction and architecture, as well as the monument of Leif Eriksson in front of it.
Next, you’ll stroll toward the waterfront while hearing the tale of Reykjavik’s bloody beginnings. At the water’s edge, you’ll be treated to a stunning view of the Esja Mountains in the distance. And don’t forget to snap a selfie by the famous Sun Voyager sculpture!
From there, you’ll make your way to the stunning Harpa Concert Hall and learn a bit more about Vikings along the way. Next, spot a couple essential landmarks by the Prime Minister’s office and Parliament House!
You’ll learn about Icelandic independence and some of the most powerful figures throughout the island nation’s history.
Then continue on to the picturesque Tjörnin Lake before heading to a lovely urban park where you can relax after your journey… and maybe visit the Museum of Icelandic Punk if you want to keep the adventure going! Your tour concludes in this park.
