You can bring your pet on a Yellowstone National Park tour… but with plenty of restrictions. You need to make sure your pet is within a vehicle or tent, or on a leash shorter than 6 feet at all times. And pets are not allowed at all on boardwalks or hiking trails, even with a leash.

In Acadia National Park, fall colors are most vibrant in October. Every autumn, the park's trees begin changing from the typical leafy green — first into a brilliant gold, then soft oranges, and finally profoundly vibrant reds. These changes begin as early as September and extend into November, which is why October is the best time to see fall colors—it's the most likely month to get the full spread of the leafy rainbow!
You can avoid the crowds at Acadia in two ways—visit in the summer or skip those jam-packed Acadia National Park tours. The most important thing is to avoid those typical Acadia National Park tours, like buses or guided experiences and instead go for a self-guided one.
How can you pick just one? Both the Tennessee and North Carolina sides of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park have so much to offer. The main draw on the Tennessee side is Gatlinburg, first settled in 1803. North Carolina is also home to Clingmans Dome, the highest point in the Smokies.
