This 3.5-mile National Recreation Trail runs along the coastline with dramatic ocean views on one side and the backyards of the Gilded Age mansions on the other. The northern section (from Easton's Beach to Ledge Road) is paved and easy. The southern ""Rough Point"" section is rugged — uneven rocks, no guardrails, and can be slippery when wet — not suitable for young children or anyone without sturdy footwear. The full walk takes 1.5–2 hours. Parking is available at Easton's Beach (Memorial Day–Labor Day) or along Bellevue Avenue.
