Winter Tour:

Please note that Trail Ridge Road is closed to through travel for the season in Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado. However, our winter audio tour route is still available, starting from the park’s east entrance, so you can enjoy the park’s winter landscapes with guided insights.

2025 Updates:

In 2025, Rocky Mountain National Park will implement a timed entry reservation system beginning on May 23, 2025. This reservation system provides for day use visitor access in a way that protects resources while creating opportunities for high-quality visitor experiences. There are two types of Timed Entries:

Timed Entry:

1. Includes access to the park and outlying areas (no Bear Lake Road access)
2. Reservations required
3. 9am – 2pm (MT)
4. Re-entry allowed with valid reservation (9am – 2pm)

Timed Entry+ Bear Lake Road:

1. Includes access to Bear Lake Road, rest of the park, and outlying areas
2. Reservations required
3. 5am – 6pm (MT)
4. Re-entry to Bear Lake Road allowed after 2pm with valid reservation
