• Welcome FiDi

  Your tour of Wall Street and Manhattan's financial district begins at the edge of Battery Park. From here, you'll really get to know the ins and outs of the city's beating heart, from the revolutionary history if this neighborhood to the development of the modern day Wall Street powerhouses.

• Fraunces Tavern

  This tavern is absolutely loaded with history. It's here that many of America's Founding Fathers met to discuss the coming revolution as the British crown continued to squeeze the colonies. Today, in addition to still operating as a restaurant, the tavern hosts a museum on its upper floors that's definitely worth a stop for any history buff.

• Dead Rabbit

  This strangely named Irish bar was named the best bar in the world two years running. In addition to being a great spot for a drink, it also highlights the important history of Irish immigrants in New York City.

• Portals

  This unusual landmark contains fragments of old New York, with some even dating back to the days when it was called New Amsterdam! It's a bit like getting a glimpse back in time.

• National Museum of American Indian

  The National Museum of the American Indian is a branch of the esteemed Smithsonian Institute. It features a staggering 800,000 artifacts, ranging from South American gold coins to Inuit whalebone carvings from the Arctic. Anyone interested in anthropology simply must stop here.

• Alexander Hamilton Custom House

  Now a museum, this surprisingly lavish Custom House is an indicator of Manhattan's rising prominence on the global financial scene during the late 1800s and early 1900s. It gets its name, of course, from Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, the same one now immortalized in the hit Broadway musical.

• Museum Statues & Bowling Green

  Across from Bowling Green, New York City’s oldest park, you'll find a collection of statues with a long, and sometimes peculiar, history. The land, however, has a much longer history of human habitation, which you'll learn about here.

• Charging Bull

  Sculpted in 1989 by Arturo Di Modica, the Charging Bull sculpture is Wall Street's most famous statue, but did you know it was initially placed here illegally? You'll get the full story, as well as the various controversies while admiring this impressive bit of public art.

• Fearless Girl

  Part symbol of empowerment, part marketing ploy by an asset management company, the Fearless Girl sculpture is a popular new addition to Wall Street's public art. It was once placed directly opposite the Charging Bull, but has since been moved to a permanent place outside the New York Stock Exchange.

• Trinity Church

  This church dates back over 300 years, but not in its current form. The first two structures were heavily damaged and needed to be rebuilt. The current church was constructed to withstand the test of time, and so far it has passed that test with flying colors.

• New York Stock Exchange

  The heart of American finance and the world's largest stock exchange by far. About $170 billion pass through this exchange every weekday, but it has surprisingly humble beginnings.

• Federal Hall

  Behind the impressive pillars of this hall, the American government was born. This is where George Washington was sworn in as the first President of the United States. It's also where the Constitution and the Bill of Rights were ratified.

• 40 Wall Street The Trump Building

  Currently owned by Donald Trump, this towering structure has been host to numerous scandals over the years. As you admire its gleaming exterior, you'll learn all about the sometimes outlandish schemes and legal troubles of more than a few of the tower's corporate tenants.

• Federal Reserve

  The Federal Reserve is definitely an imposing building from the outside, but what's even more impressive is what's within. This reserve holds around 497,000 gold bars in its vault! Visitors can take guided tours of the vault on weekdays with a reservation.

• Liberty Tower and Chamber of Commerce

  Liberty Tower has seen all kinds of interesting tenants. Franklin D. Roosevelt set up shop here before he became president, as did a crew of German spies during World War I!

• Red Cube

  This huge sculpture is exactly what it sounds like. According to the sculptor, "The cube signifies chance, like the rolling of dice." It's quite a sight up close!

• Zuccotti Park and 117 Broadway

  Zuccotti Park served as the heart of the Occupy Wall Street protests in 2011. Protestors tried to maintain a constant presence here as the demonstrations continued day after day. Here, you'll get to revisit that turbulent time and uncover the reasons behind it all.

• World Trade Center Memorial

  A somber, essential memorial. The 9/11 Memorial honors the 2,977 men, women, and children killed when two hijacked airliners flew into the World Trade Center buildings in 2001.

• One World Trade Center

  One World Trade Center stands at nearly 1,800 feet, making it the tallest building in the nation. When it was built, this was the most expensive building ever constructed, and it shows. This gleaming symbol of American ambition is a can't-miss landmark.

• Oculus

  A bizarre, one-of-a-kind train station that functions not just as a transit hub but also as a shopping destination. The Oculus is also a great sightseeing spot, and makes for some truly excellent photo ops.

• St. Paul's Chapel

  Built in 1766, this is the oldest surviving chapel in Manhattan. It was also frequented by George Washington himself! After the attacks on 9/11, this chapel became a round-the-clock relief center for first responders.

• The Woolworth Building

  This striking neo-gothic tower was one of America's very first skyscrapers. It was also the tallest building in the world until 1930.

• City Hall Park

  This historic park once served as a sort of town commons for the city. During the leadup to the American Revolution, New Yorkers gathered here to protest British overreach. It's also the spot where George Washington read the Declaration of Independence to a crowd!

• New York City Hall

  New York City Hall is one of the oldest and most photogenic city halls in the country. It was designed by an American and a French architect and combines the two nations' distinctive styles in a totally unique way.

• Tweed Courthouse

  No expense was spared in the construction of this gorgeous courthouse... even when it should have been. Here, you'll get the full story on the corruption scandal behind this picturesque structure.
