From my perspective, the ONLY way to travel in Yellowstone is with a self-guided driving tour!
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: tour buses tend to be more trouble than they’re worth. The schedule doesn’t allow any flexibility, your crowded together with a bunch of strangers, and seats can be expensive if you’re traveling with a group.
A self-guided driving tour easily solves all these problems. The tour is available for you to begin any time after you download the app, whether it’s 5 minutes or 5 months. No need to cancel or refund if your road trip needs a reschedule.
With a self-guided driving tour, you control the pace of your vacation. It’s up to you when to stop for lunch, how many photo ops you take, and how long the road trip lasts. Yellowstone is a huge park with dozens of iconic landmarks… not to mention animals. You have to be patient if you want to cross paths with a bison, wolf, or grizzly bear. With so much to see, you definitely don’t want to rush through the park. In fact, you can even split this tour into multiple days!
The Yellowstone tour in particular gives you the freedom to blaze your own trail. You can enter the loop from any of Yellowstone National Park’s five entrances. No matter which direction you’re coming from and where you enter the loop, the tour will still work perfectly.
The best part is the price. Rather than purchase individual tickets, you only need to download one tour for everyone in your vehicle to listen to. The complete Yellowstone tour is just $10 for hours and hours of audio content.
