Welcome to Grand Teton!
Your tour of Grand Teton National Park begins in the quaint mountain town of Jackson Hole. From here, you'll head north toward the park itself and learn some history along the way!
Teton Village
As you drive, you'll pass Teton Village, home to some of the best (and most intense) skiing anywhere in the States.
Laurence S. Rockefeller Preserve
Next, you'll drive through the Laurence S. Rockefeller Preserve, a sprawling wildlife preserve that's home to elk, and other mountain critters.
Chapel of the Transfiguration
Once inside the park itself, you'll come first to the Chapel of the Transfiguration, a humble little chapel built to capitalize on stunning views of the mountains beyond.
Taggart Lake Trailhead
The first trail you'll see is the Taggart Lake Trail, a 6-mile loop that leads to a pair of huge, pristine lakes: Taggart Lake and Bradley Lake.
Teton Glacier Turnout
Afterwards, you'll stop at a turnout offering great views of the largest glacier in the park, plus get some facts about how much bigger it was just 100 years ago!
Jenny Lake

National Park Sign
Then you'll drive past the sign for the park, a perfect place for a family photo! The main tour concludes here, just a short drive from the southern entrance to Yellowstone.
Cattleman's Bridge
An optional detour takes you to Cattleman's Bridge, a cool remnant of the cattle ranches of Jackson's early years.
Oxbow Bend
Also along the detour is Oxbow Bend, a picturesque spot where Snake River makes a U-turn.
Snake River Overlook
Farther along, you'll reach Snake River Overlook, where famous photographer Ansel Adams captured one of the most well-known photos ever taken in the Tetons.
Teton Point Turnout
Another viewpoint waits just ahead at Teton Point Turnout, offering glimpses of some seriously strange geology.
Glacier View Turnout
Next, you'll arrive at Glacier View Turnout, boasting views of not one, not two, but three huge glaciers!

The next turnout offers views of what some call The Sleeping Indian, a mountainous formation which looks much like its namesake!
National Elk Refuge

Welcome: South Entrance (Jackson)

West Thumb
First in this section of the park is the West Thumb Geyser Basin, one of Yellowstone's largest geyser basins which features some truly remarkable geothermal features.
Abyss Pool
While exploring West Thumb, you'll spot the Abyss Pool, an impressively deep, shockingly blue pool which has actually been known to erupt, although very rarely.
Fisherman’s Cone: William Trumbull
Next is the Fisherman's Cone, a small, extremely hot spring where fishermen used to boil their fish immediately after catching them!
Shoshone Lake & DeLacy Creek Trail
Your route takes you next past Shoshone Lake, a lovely secluded little patch of wilderness with a great hiking trail to boot.
Shoshone Lake Overlook
Be sure to stop by the Shoshone Lake Overlook, up next, for some spectacular views of the lake.
Trail to Shoshone Lake
You'll pass the trail to Shoshone Lake next, for those who want to visit the lakeshore itself.
Isa Lake & Continental Divide
Up next is Isa Lake, which sits directly on the Continental Divide. In a way, this lake marks the backbone of the country!
Kepler Cascade
Continuing on, you'll pass the Kepler Cascade, a 150-foot waterfall that's definitely worth a stop.
Old Faithful
Old Faithful, up next, is one of Yellowstone's most famous attractions for a reason. This huge geyser is so reliable it was once referred to as "eternity's timepiece"!
Beehive
After that you can choose to visit the Beehive, a much humbler geyser which gets its name from the curious honeycomb-like formation surrounding it.
Grand Geyser
If you explore the geyser basin beyond Old Faithful, you'll find Grand Geyser, the most powerful predictable geyser in the world. These eruptions can reach up to 200 feet in height!
Castle Geyser
Then there's Castle Geyser, imposing and shielded by an enormous cone of calcified residue.
