Cuyahoga Valley National Park is open everyday, 24 hours a day with the following exceptions: Brandywine Falls, Ledges, Octagon, Kendall Lake, and Kendall Hills close from dusk until morning opening. Please check the official National Park Service website for the most up-to-date hours.
Each season offers a different experience:
- Spring (April-May): Wildflowers bloom, and the forests come alive with new growth. Waterfalls are often at their peak flow.
- Summer (June-August): Warm and humid, ideal for hiking, biking, and enjoying outdoor activities. Popular time, so expect more visitors.
- Fall (September-October): Stunning fall foliage attracts many visitors. Pleasant hiking weather.
- Winter (November-March): Offers a quieter experience with opportunities for snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and viewing frozen waterfalls. Some trails may be icy or snow-covered.
Yes, pets are permitted in many areas of the park, including the Towpath Trail, picnic areas, and campgrounds. However, they must be kept on a leash no longer than six feet at all times and are not allowed in buildings or on certain trails (check specific trail regulations). Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.
